For Convocation Day

Tomorrow morning my little girl graduates from Wilfred Laurier University with an Honours B. A. in Contemporary Studies. She maintained a full scholarship for her four years. Holly chose the mat, frame and swarovski crystals which are a fiery orange-red. I started out painting a little cherub in the vines but when she saw me working on a dragon there was really no contest! I used gesso, 23 K gold, Winsor Newton watercolour and gouache on 140 lb. Arches Hot Press paper. This little guy was a joy to paint.
